System Technician
RCS Communications has opportunities for individuals with extensive experience in the implementation and support of radio communications systems consisting of VHF, UHF, 800 Mhz conventional and trunked infrastructure utilized by Public Safety and commercial entities. Qualified individuals should have a working knowledge of analog and digital base stations, repeaters, consoles, and mobile data devices, use computer Windows 2000 applications in addition to wireless networks WLAN/WAN/LAN and VoIP communication systems. Experience in multi-cast, simulcast, EDACS, Smartnet, Centracom, CML or Plant E911, CAD, video systems, and outdoor warning systems preferred. Candidate must work and communicate well with others, be willing to travel, and provide on-site and telephone support to end-users.
Minimum requirements are:
- Graduate of a two or four year accredited electronic school or Military training
- FCC General Radiotelephone License, CET or industry equivalent certification
- Minimum 5 year work history with Motorola or M/A-COM radio communication systems
- Use of Windows 2000/XP applications
- Willing to travel and take on-call responsibility
- US citizen and ability to obtain DoD security clearance
- Valid drivers license
Level II Technician
RCS Communications is looking for individuals with an interest in 2-way radio, with a basic electronic background from an accredited electronic school or Military training, to install and service 2-way radio equipment. Individual candidates should have practical experience in conventional 2-way radio mobiles, base station and repeater equipment, be able to use hand tools, climb ladders, use computer Windows 2000 applications, and read electronic schematics. Qualified individuals must communicate well with others, work independently, and be willing to travel and work overtime.
Minimum requirements are:
- Graduate of two year electronics school or Military training
- Use of Windows 2000/XP applications
- US Citizen
- Valid drivers license
- Willing to travel and take on-call responsibility
Level I Technician
RCS Communications is looking for individuals with an interest in wireless communications to install and maintain communications and support equipment. Candidates must have good mechanical skills, be able to use hand tools, climb ladders, and have good verbal skills.
Minimum requirements are:
- High School diploma or GED
- US Citizen
- Valid drivers license
